Councillor Vacancies

Aylesham Parish Council currently has one vacancy for the position of Parish Councillor.

Following the recently advertised casual vacancy for the statutory notice period, the Returning Officer for Dover District Council has confirmed that the regulation 10 requests from electors have not been fulfilled and the Council can now fill the casual vacancy by co-option.

Aylesham Parish Council is an extremely busy Local Council and we encourage all applicants to attend one of our Full Council and/or Committee Meetings to gain an insight into current Council business and meeting procedures. For upcoming meeting dates, please refer to our Calendar of Meetings which can be viewed under the Council Meetings tab.

Please read through the documents below and submit your completed Councillor Co-option Application Form and send it to the Deputy Officer at [email protected]. Along with your application, please confirm that you consent for your application form be passed to the Members of Aylesham Parish Council.

The closing date for applications is 17.00pm on Friday 27th September 2024. Candidates will then be invited to attend the following Full Council Meeting which is on Tuesday 8th October 2024.
